![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It may be a bit technical, but if anyone has issues I can try to make a tutorial and post it (I made my app a while ago so I'd have to re-create it). I have Spore running great on my new M1 Mac mini, just using default settings for everything and installing Spore inside the WineSkin app it makes. SO if you have a copy of Spore for Windows, either through Steam, GoG, Retail Disc, etc, you can basically re-encapsulate the game in a new 64-bit container and it'll run! Maxis did their encapsulation so long ago so its still 32-bit. They used a version of Wine called Cider, but the reason you can't just run Spore on a modern Mac now is 32-bit executables are no longer compatible with macOS, and only 64-bit can run. WineskinServer allows you to basically recreate the way that Maxis ported Spore over to Mac many moons ago. FYI for anyone who has a Mac that wants to play Spore again. ![]()
